I’m a local government executive specializing in libraries, recreation, and related community services. I have 15 years of experience as a municipal department head in positions of increasing complexity and responsibility. My focus is to lead and support diverse teams to achieve the goals set by our elected leadership and deliver positive results for the community. As a department head, I hold myself and my team accountable to the organization’s mission, values, and performance expectations. I create space for innovation, teamwork, mentorship, and celebrating success. I strive to make balanced, informed, inclusive and fair decisions that engage stakeholders to solve short-term problems while always keeping a long-term view. My executive experience includes:

Over the course of my career, I’ve successfully built outstanding teams, collaborated with elected and appointed officials, led complex initiatives from concept to completion, and engaged thousands of residents and stakeholders to make lasting positive impacts in the communities I’ve had the privilege to serve. My volunteering and board work has led to leadership roles in service clubs, nonprofits, and professional associations.

I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, where I was raised. I love exploring California’s beautiful coastline, valleys, deserts and mountains. My creative pursuits include writing, printmaking, carpentry, music and visual arts. I enjoy meeting new people, reading, hiking, gardening, and spending time with my family.
